Crash Mansion - REVIEW & NEWS!!!

Location: Rushden Athletic Club

These guys presented an explosive set complete with in particular an inspiring performance from front man Chris ,with many front men it proves to be a difficult  job to drop a stage persona once you they put down the mic. This is not the case with Chris. I got the impression that has a Jekyll and Hyde quality about him - saving Hyde for his stage performance, and returning to Jekyll once dispersed backstage.

This high energy performance reminded me a little of Lost Prophets music ..back in the day and it seems clear to me that Andy James has been an influence on guitarist Sam as I feel his performance at the Athletic club had shown improvement from earlier gigs on their tour earlier this year.

I feel as a band they are certainly worthy supporting of Sacred other Tongue, and after catching up with the guys backstage it seems that it is all systems go for them..

Seems A busy busy time for these lads…

Check them out at their FREE LONDON GIG next month in honor of the release of their debut EP ”Live for Something” Through Transcend music.

No hairstyles were burnt in the making of this video -
Although the hair flicking around naked flames would lead you to believe otherwise.Keep an eye on my interviews page and see what else the boys from Crash Mansion had to say when I caught up with them at their Rushden gig on Monday…and just as importantly keep an eye on my reviews page to see what I thought of them live ;)

Meanwhile..check out their awesome debut music video (above) ‘Money.’

Mia KloseAbsolutely gutted I only caught the last of this band’s set at BS.What I did catch and observe was a band with so much energy with a mixture of captivating guitar riffs and catchy hooks. Then came the front lady..with a mind blowing dress sense, and a stage presence to turn heads upon entry, its clear that passion for music is what drives this leather studded chick.Mia however is not just a  pretty face, she first performed on stage at the age of 3.age of 5 shown dedication Passion hard work dedication mind blowing dress sense not just a stunning woman to look at voice reminding me of the best bits of Biff Naked and Be your own pet, although she has a lot better vocal range. In my opinion this chick rocks a lot harder than a lot of up and coming male front men!! Credits to Sean Lankin Planet Mosh Photographer

Now another new band for you..this time a band from over the Seas in the US..these guys caught my attention on twitter. Signed to Rottweiler Records, this band (usually) wouldn’t be my preferred genre ..however done well genre’s become more appealing..This band has truly kicked me in the teeth and forced me to swallow my pre conceptions of Brutal Heavy Metal sent me back to my teenage years with their tight recording of ’ The Lion’s Teeth’ off their debut album ‘Slayer of Eden.’

Musical talent clearly oozes from the family tree as this band proves with 4 of their members being brothers…and get this..their youngest member is Shane on bass who is at the ripe age of 13! DO NOT  let that put you off..because these guys are said to be AMAZING  live ..and I for one can’t wait until they visit the UK.

For sure a band to keep your eyes on in the future…

Bloodstock Highlight No.4The people! Metalheads sure do know how to have a good time..I got chattoing to a few of the security over the weekend and according to them Bloodstock is one of the most chilled festivals for them to work at.Plus whilst visiting the signing tent all egos (if any do exits) were left at the entrance and the bands were more than happy to pose away and sign merch with a smile! This chap above went over the barrier 3 times!!! ROCK ON MAN!! Credits to Gigshotz Photography

Sacred Mother Tounge

Another Gem from Transcend Records ..
SMT blew me away with their well polished set. Darrens clean cut vocals carried well, and was complimented by surgical like precision of Andy James on guitar cutting through your head like a welcomed lobotomy…Well worth checking out their new album -  Out of the Darkness.

Bloodstock Highlight No.2Last in Line!Shivers were sent down my spine listening to their electrifying set in the Sophie Lancaster tent. ’ Don’t Talk to strangers’ was by far the most superior live track for me. Vivian Campbell truly set my soul alive with the delivery of his kick-ass solos! What an inspiration!!!The atmosphere created that night in the Sophie Lancaster tent is one that will stay with me for a long while. So grateful to have caught at least one of their tour dates!

Micheal Stockley from Stormbringers ‘factual’ interview approach

-”Mike, what can you tell us about Stormbringer’s album MMXIII?”

-”Its got eleven tracks on it.”
